Alex Scott sparks fierce debate with ITV Soccer Aid outfit as fans fume 'she's dressed all wrong'

The former Arsenal footballer joined Dermot O'Leary to present this year's Soccer Aid
Lioness-turned-TV-presenter Alex Scott was the centre of conversation among ITV viewers on Sunday night after they'd tuned in to watch this year's Soccer Aid.
Alongside Dermot O'Leary, Scott oversaw proceedings from Stamford Bridge as England's team of celebrities and former footballers faced off against the Rest of the World.
O'Leary opted for a blazer and tie combination for the occasion along with a crisp white shirt.
Scott's ensemble, on the other hand, was the one to garner attention as she donned a figure-hugging white dress with a cut-out in the middle.
The gap was adorned with tassels and Scott completed her look with a long flow of curls behind her slicked hair.
The show-stopping ensemble sparked debate among viewers at home, however, as several felt the former footballer had somewhat overdone the look for a charity football match.

On X, formerly Twitter, one fan claimed: "#socceraid... Alex has missed the outfit choice today...It's football....not the Baftas!!!!"
A second echoed: "Alex Scott has turned up dressed for the Oscars. She is confused it's Stamford Bridge #SoccerAid."
"Alex Scott is dressed all wrong #SoccerAid," a third weighed in before another commented: "Oh Alex Scott. You always look so beautiful but you literally took your eye off the ball with that dress. #socceraid."
"#Socceraid OMG Alex Scott’s hair just looks ridiculous," a fifth argued, but it was far from a unanimous reception to Scott's look.

Others jumped to the former Strictly Come Dancing star's defence, including one viewer who asked: "Who's watching #SoccerAid? And how gorgeous is Alex Scott looking?"
And a second put: "Alex Scott looks stunning. Beautiful dress but I can see some of the tassles catching on her heel! #SoccerAid."
Scott's outfit wasn't the only thing to catch the eye moments into this year's Soccer Aid.
As soon as O'Leary and Scott set foot on the pitch to begin presenting, social media was awash with fans complaining about the state of Chelsea's home ground.
"That Stamford bridge pitch looks horrendous," one fan joked. "Expecting to see a sandcastles being built somewhere #socceraid."
And a second similarly complained the look of the grass, adding: "Why's the pitch in such a state #socceraid."
