The weapons supervisor for the production of Rust in 2021 has been jailed for 18 months after the film's cinematographer was shot dead.
Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter after a revolver fired by Alec Baldwin went off during a rehearsal and killed Halyna Hutchins.
The 26-year-old was in charge of weapons during the production of the western film.
Prosecutors said Gutierrez-Reed was to blame after she unintentionally brought ammunition onto the set - which is banned.
Jurors also heard the former weapons supervisor failed to follow basic gun safety protocols.
Prosecutor, Kari Morrissey said: "She was negligent, she was careless, she was thoughtless."
Following the 10-day trial, which saw evidence from dozens of witnesses, FBI evidence analysts and an ammunition supplier to Rust, the jury took less than two hours to find Gutierrez-Reed guilty.
Her punishment is the most substantial criminal consequence yet in the legal fallout.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Defence lawyers said Gutierrez-Reed will forever be affected negatively by the publicity associated with her prosecution and has suffered from anxiety, fear and depression as a result.
Actor Alec Baldwin shot Hutchins when he pointed his gun at the cinematographer and the weapon fired the live round as she set up a camera shot.
He has also been charged with involuntary manslaughter and faces his trial in July.
Baldwin - who is a producer for the film as well as its star - has denied any wrongdoing.

The film star is accused of causing Hutchins’s death either by negligence or "total disregard or indifference" for safety.
Assistant director David Halls also faced charges and entered a plea bargain for negligent use of a deadly weapon last year.
He received a six-month suspended sentence.
